Terms of Service

The agreement that governs accounts, purchases, Ghost+ membership, credits, and use of Ghost Plugins services.

Last update October 7, 2026.

Originally effective November 9, 2023. This revision is effective October 7, 2026, and applies from that date forward. Earlier versions continue to govern activity that took place before it.

Ghost Plugins is a brand operated by The Ghost Company, LLC (“Ghost,” “we,” “us”). This policy covers ghostplugins.com and related Ghost services, including plugins, templates, Plugin Studio, Ghost AI, workspaces, accounts, Ghost+ membership, and the scripts and files we host for installed products (together, the “Services”).

These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and The Ghost Company, LLC. By creating an account, purchasing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Services for a business or client, you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for them.

Related policies

The following policies form part of these Terms:

Website materials versus licensed products

“Website materials” means the general content of our website, such as page text, documentation, images, and branding. You may view and use website materials to learn about and use the Services. You may not copy, mirror, republish, or redistribute website materials except as the law allows.

“Licensed products” means plugins, templates, and other products you obtain from us. Your rights in licensed products come from the Product License, which permits commercial and client work, customization, Plugin Studio and Ghost AI modifications, and delivery of completed client websites within your license. Nothing in this section limits those rights.

Accounts and security

You need an account for most Services. Provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly through our help page if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Workspaces and authority

Workspaces let you organize presets and invite collaborators. The workspace owner controls who is invited and is responsible for collaborators’ activity in that workspace. Collaborators can see workspace content shared with them, such as presets, branding, and names or emails of other members. Only invite people you are authorized to share that content with.

Purchases, payments, and Ghost+ membership

Prices are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not receive or store your full card number. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout.

Ghost+ is a recurring membership billed monthly or yearly, as selected at checkout, until canceled. Billing continues automatically each period using your saved payment method.

Cancellation

You can cancel Ghost+ from your account dashboard, which opens the Stripe billing portal, or by contacting us through our help page. Canceling stops future renewals. Unless the law requires otherwise, the current period is not refunded, and membership benefits remain available until the end of the paid period. What happens to existing projects after membership ends is described in the Product License.

Ghost AI credits

Ghost AI requests use credits. Credits are a usage allowance, not money, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or sold.

  • Plan credits are granted each billing cycle and reset at the start of the next cycle. Unused plan credits do not carry over, except that eligible Ghost+ plans may carry unused plan credits forward for one additional cycle, after which they expire.
  • Purchased top-up credits expire 12 months after purchase.
  • Credits are deducted only after a request succeeds. When several credit types are available, the ones expiring soonest are used first.
  • If your membership ends, plan credits stop being granted at the end of the paid period.

Ghost Credit

Ghost Credit is a promotional or account credit we may grant, for example as a welcome gift, partner gift, from a purchase, or as a courtesy. Ghost Credit can be applied toward eligible Ghost purchases as shown at checkout. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and is not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Ghost Credit expires 12 months after it is granted. Credits can be applied to single purchases of plugins, templates, Ghost AI tokens, or the first payment of a Ghost+ membership. Credits cannot be applied to membership renewals or retroactively applied to past orders.

Your content

Private content

Private content includes your uploads, images, code, presets, Plugin Studio projects, workspace content, and the prompts and outputs of Ghost AI. You keep ownership of your private content. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, copy, and transmit it only as needed to operate, secure, and provide the Services to you and people you share with, including sending it to service providers that help us do so. We will not publicly display your private content or use it in advertising without your permission.

Public submissions

Public submissions are content you choose to publish on Ghost, such as reviews, feedback, or the claps and comments you leave in our community sidebar. For public submissions, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content on and in connection with the Services, along with the display name you choose. You can delete public submissions at any time, which ends this license for future use.

You must have the rights needed for any content you provide.

Acceptable use

Use of the Services must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not abuse or disrupt our systems, bypass licensing or access controls, or use the Services to infringe others’ rights.

Changes to the Services

We may add, change, or remove features as the Services evolve. If we remove a paid feature you are currently paying for in a way that materially reduces what you paid for, we will tell you in advance where reasonably possible. Changes do not remove rights already granted to properly licensed existing projects under the Product License.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account for a material or repeated breach of these Terms or our policies, for fraud or unauthorized payments, or where required by law. Where reasonable, we will give notice and a chance to resolve the issue first.

You may stop using the Services and close your account at any time.

What happens to licenses

Losing access to the website or your account does not by itself revoke valid licenses for products already properly installed on existing projects. Those licenses end only as described in the Product License, for example if the license itself was violated or the purchase was reversed or fraudulent. Access to account features, Plugin Studio, Ghost AI, and hosted updates may end with the account.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge from Ghost Plugins was made in error or you have an issue with a purchase, we encourage you to contact us first so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

You retain any rights you may have to dispute a transaction with your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or other financial institution. However, initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may affect your access to products and services associated with the disputed transaction while the dispute is being reviewed.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, Ghost Plugins may provide your bank, card issuer, payment processor, or other financial institution with information reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to the dispute. This may include transaction records, purchase and account information, relevant account activity, product access or usage records, communications, acceptance of applicable policies or terms, and other documentation related to the transaction or dispute.

If a chargeback or payment dispute is resolved in your favor and the payment to Ghost Plugins is reversed, we may disable the associated account and revoke access to products, licenses, downloads, memberships, templates, Plugin Studio features, Ghost AI, Workspaces, services, and other benefits associated with the reversed payment.

An account disabled following a reversed payment will no longer be eligible to make purchases from Ghost Plugins. We may also prevent the creation or use of additional accounts for the purpose of circumventing this restriction.

If a dispute is withdrawn or resolved in favor of Ghost Plugins and the original payment remains valid, we may restore any access that was temporarily restricted during the dispute.

Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to you under applicable law or the rules of your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or payment network.

Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted or error free, or that they will remain compatible with every change made by Squarespace or third parties. You are responsible for reviewing and testing products and AI output before publishing them.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Ghost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Links to other sites

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for those sites.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will notify account holders by email or a notice on the website before the change takes effect, and the new version will apply only from its stated effective date. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated Terms. Where the law requires your express consent to a change, we will ask for it.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived by contract.

Severability and governing law

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of California, without regard to conflict of law rules, and disputes will be heard in the courts located in California, except where the law of your place of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
